Although the ice was not as severe as the previous two days, harvesting delays of 2-3 hours were incurred. Ice-related defects are already developing in lettuce crops, which will cause a decrease in yields and case weights over the next two weeks or more. Quality and supply will be affected for at least the next 3-4 weeks.
