Buhari Arrives In Imo to Inaugurate Projects

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Imo State this morning to inaugurate some projects in the southeastern state. Buhari landed at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, the state capital, where he was received by dignitaries. Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, announced the president’s arrival in a post on Facebook. Uzodinma wrote, “It is with a heart full of gratitude that I, on behalf of the good people of Imo State, welcome His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to the Eastern Heartland on a working visit to commission some of our completed people-oriented projects. Mr. President, we are delighted to have you in Imo State on this august occasion despite your tight schedules and it’s our pleasure that while in Imo State, you will enjoy the hospitality and conviviality of our people.” Speaking after his arrival, President Buhari promised to assist Uzodinma in dealing with the infrastructural deficits of the state. He also assured that he would wield his power as the president to deal with security breaches in the state. Buhari, who spoke while commissioning the Egbeada-Onitsha bypass road in Owerri, said that he was impressed with the level of development in the state.
