Terrifying moment kayakers get stuck in whirlpool on Ottawa River - Daily Mail

Friends Tom Dunphy, Joel Brennan and Devyn Scott were kayaking the Ottawa River in Ontario when they decided to tackle whirlpools at a notorious piece of water – the Butchers Knife Rapid. The rapid is called Butchers Knife because of the sharp rocks on shore. The first two pass through but when Tom heads in, the whirlpool seems to suck his boat down below the surging waters.
