Ukraine claims eight civilians were killed in Russian strikes in Donetsk region over past 24 hours. Donetsk is next in Russia’s line of fire after the fall of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in Luhansk. Donetsk Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko claims Russian strikes killed a total of seven civilians in Toretsk, Avdiivka, Kodema and Siversk. A Russian missile has hit a tanker drifting in the Black Sea for over four months, Interfax news agency reported. Experts say Russia may be temporarily easing its offensive in Ukraine to reassemble its forces for a renewed assault. Ukraine has summoned Turkey's ambassador to Kyiv after a Russian ship was allowed to leave Turkey’s Karasu port. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his troops are advancing in areas occupied by Russian forces. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops have landed on Snake Island where they raised Ukraine’s flag, according to officials.
