I too have fond memories of their games on Sony's console so it is time to something about that. I don't think "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" needs any presentation. I came upon my game purely by accident: Some friends had a Japanese copy of the game and were stuck, so they sold me cheap. I got home, played it, fell in love with the soundtrack and that was that. I soon got stuck myself and used the Internet to find out I needed to buy something from the merchant to progress, so once that was done, I only let go of the game after I completed it to the best possible ending. again most of my friends had moved away from 2D when this game was released but the allure from the combination of Koji Igarashi, Michiru Yamanane and Ayami Kojima was simply impossible to ignore. I am glad to see this game still being regarded as the best "metroidvania2 style in the series that despite trying many times to repeat the success formula on GBA and DS never quite made the same incredible impression as this one. Perhaps because I played the Japanese version many months ahead of its official European release I could never quite get behind the English voice overs and the cut content. The PSP version is probably the definitive version of this game in the West. Enjoy!
