The Family Oriented Concept Unified to Serve (FOCUS) hosted a webinar where local experts discussed how people can help prevent teen suicide by looking out for red flags and how to be supportive of someone who may have suicidal thoughts. The Keynote Speaker April Lott, President & CEO at Directions for Living; William Pellan, Director of Investigations at District 6 Medical Examiner’s Office; Donna Sicilian, Executive Director of Student Services at Pinellas County Schools; and Dr. Terry L. Collier, Clinical Director at Anona Family Life Counseling Center all provided key statistics, information, and tips on how parents can help their children take care of their mental health and prevent teen suicide.
