Credlin: Australia has ‘changed for the better’ with AUKUS alliance

The announcement of the AUKUS alliance and Australia’s decision to to shift to a nuclear-powered submarine fleet is the biggest decision by a federal government - bar none - in decades, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin. This comes as Prime Minister Scott Morrison, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and US President Joe Biden have announced the creation of a new trilateral partnership titled AUKUS, to support the Indo-Pacific region. Australia has also scrapped the $90 billion dollar deal for French attack-class submarines in favour of a new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines. “Without a doubt, what’s been announced today is a hugely significant decision,” Ms Credlin. “Our world might be changing for the worse, but today Australia changed for the better.”
