This had the potential to be a pretty good fight but making Pinstress be airborne for 90% of it was definitely a choice that was made. Sure it’s cool she can use all the abilities Hornet can like the Drifter’s Cloak and double jump but her being airborne so often makes the fight feel tedious and needlessly drawn out. On top of this, she can hover in the air even longer when throwing her needles which isn’t a safe punish window anyway depending on the angle she uses it. While it’s possible to hit her in the air, she jumps and moves around so much it’s not consistent, making the best strategy waiting for her to come down then punishing. I want to like this fight more than I do because her moveset on paper is cool but she did not really deliver. Even if this fight was designed with an airborne focused approach in mind she moves around way too much for it to be fluid. Overall not a super great fight but there’s still enough in it to keep her in C tier.
