Anthony Albanese arrives at the White House for state dinner

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his partner Jodie Haydon have arrived at the White House for an elaborate state dinner. The pair were greeted by President Joe Biden and his wife Dr Jill Biden when they arrived. Up to 350 guests are expected to attend a state dinner held at the White House. Mr Albanese and Ms Haydon dined with President Biden and his wife Dr Jill Biden at an intimate dinner at the White House on Tuesday evening (local time) ahead of the state dinner on Wednesday. The Prime Minister's state visit comes after President Biden’s cancelled trip to Australia in May, due to a domestic debt crisis in the US.
