Enjoy the sounds of awesome F1 racecars - which one brings the noise better? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On April 27th 2015, history was made - Formula One returned to my home circuit, Brands Hatch, previously the host of the British and European GPs. Lotus F1 Team arrived to shoot promotional material, and opened up the day to the public to watch their 2015 E23 racecar (in the hands of drivers Romain Grosjean, Pastor Maldonado and Jolyon Palmer) tear up the legendary tarmac. But we also had an extra treat. Turning up for the party was a historic Lotus F1 car, the 72 E-5 from 1975 as driven by Le Mans legend Jacky Ickx, having already won World Championships in the hands of Emerson Fittipaldi and Ronnie Peterson. Both cars tore up the circuit, both cars brought the noise. But which one sounded better? New school blare or old-school roar? There's only one way to find out - time for a Lotus F1 sound-off!
