ORLEANS COUNTY/Gaines/Rochester man dies in Friday night motorcycle crash

According to the Orleans County Undersheriff Christopher Bourke, Jaquan D. Ford, 28, of Dewey Ave. Rochester, was traveling south on Brown road and collided with a pick up truck that was turning onto Brown road. Ford was traveling over 100 mph on his motorcycle when the crash occurred. He was ejected from the motorcycle after the crash. The driver of the pick up, Benjamin W. Metcalf was not injured. Ford was transported to Strong Hospital by Mercy Flight where he later died from injuries suffered in the accident. The accident occurred a little before 8:00p.m. on Friday night. The NYS Police Accident Reconstruction team assisted the Orleans County Sheriff's Office at the scene along with Albion Fire and COVA ambulance.
