Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron have signed a letter of intent for Ukraine to acquire up to 100 Rafale fighter jets along with advanced air-defense hardware. The agreement outlines future contracts for Rafale jets, SAMP/T next-generation air-defense systems, radar platforms, and drones — projected to be realized over around 10 years. Zelenskyy hailed the move as a historic step that will significantly boost Ukraine’s combat aviation and defense capabilities as the war with Russia continues.
