Module to this song can be found in my Discord server: / discord For a while, I've been wanting to do NDS-esque music in Furnace. However, I couldn't find much about the audio capabilities of the DS, other than it has 16 audio channels capable of doing PCM, with the last 8 channels capable of producing pulse waves in four different widths (with the last two channels capable of producing noise). Some users on Discord did give out some information regarding the DS audio capabilities. So, to emulate the capabilities of the DS, I used multiple Generic DACs set to an output rate of 32768Hz (one user did mention that you can use NDS Bootstrap to make DS games output 48Hz) set to an output bit rate of 10 with no interpolation. I only used 12 Generic PCM DACs, with no more than 9 or 10 channels being used at once since Mario Kart DS (like most DS games that use sequenced audio) needs to have some channels free for sound effects. I decided to use samples from Mario Kart DS, and thought it would make sense to cover a song from another Mario Kart game. Some of the percussion here was improvised, since the original song pitches the snare and hi-hat at various points. Original song by: Soyo Oka. Thanks for watching.
