In the First Reading, David confronts Goliath with fearless trust in the Lord, showing that true strength comes from reliance on God rather than human power. In the Gospel, Jesus heals on the Sabbath, revealing that love and mercy are at the heart of God’s law, even when misunderstood or opposed. Saint Agnes, though young, lived this same fearless faith. She chose loyalty to Christ over fear, social pressure, and even death. Her witness reminds us that holiness is not measured by age or status, but by unwavering love for God. Today we are invited to stand firm in our faith, act with courage and compassion, and allow God’s power to work through our weakness, just as He did through David, through Christ, and through Saint Agnes.
