A little video to show you how I steam block my finished knitwear. You will need: A flat surface, finished knitwear item, and a iron with a steam burst setting. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not over steam your piece - if you do the elasticity of your fiber will be affected and ultimately ruining your piece. I suggest 1-2 full bursts per side. Step 1: heat your iron to the setting that allows the most steam burst (cotton/linen setting). Step 2: lay your finished handmade item on a flat surface. Step 3: position your heated iron a few inches above your project. Step 4: press your steam burst button (I also pat my item). Step 5: repeat on other side if applicable.
