STC Turtle Friendly Lighting Educational Video

This program is a shorter version edited from the Guardians of the Night video created for long-time client, Sea Turtle Conservancy. The target audience is the general population and visitors to Florida’s coastlines and gives an overview of nesting habits of sea turtles, the threats of beachfront lighting to their habitat, and important information about STC’s role in helping to retrofit beachfront properties in Florida through a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The STC developed a sea turtle friendly lighting initiative where lighting displays, called "Turtle Vision" were created that demonstrate and explain the fundamentals of proper sea turtle friendly lighting for oceanfront properties. The displays, which include this video, are traveling across Florida to conservation centers and museums.
