[Weather] Heavy monsoon rain across country while Jeju is under heat alerts

전국 대부분 장맛비, 제주도는 장마 끝. 무더위 이어져 Good morning, rain and more heavy rain again today. Right now, heavy monsoon showers are falling in Chungcheongbuk-do Province. In fact, the Chungcheong-do Provinces could see more than 150 millimeters but also note that even if you are in the same region, the amount of rainfall could vary and the rain clouds are moving fast. A heavy rain advisories are in place for some regions while a heavy rain warning is in place for parts of the Jeollana-do and Chungchengbuk-do Provinces. Monsoon season came to end on Jeju so blistering heat has moved in with a heat wave advisory. Jeju will get up to 33 degrees, while the rest of the country will see highs in the upper twenties across most regions with monsoon rain. Usually in Korea, the monsoon season kicks off at the end of June and lasts for about a month. So, it should have already ended last week then the sweltering heat sets in. But this year we are expecting rain through early August for the central region.
