Case Study #5: Superman II (1980)

A decent sequel considering all the controversy regarding the tiff between the producers and the original director, Richard Donner. They gave him the pink slip part way through the production and brought in another great director, Richard Lester. Unfortunately, the film suffered due to patching together footage from two directors with different shooting styles and visions for the story. But, we can probably all agree it is WAY better than Superman III. In fact, the PCP video below is WAY better than Superman III.
