Q&A – I have aphids on my milkweed. How can I get rid of them without harming monarch caterpillars?

There are a couple of things you can do to control the aphids. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says you can try just washing the aphids off or put on a pair of gloves and squish them. If you have a lot of aphids and plants you can purchase beneficial insects like ladybugs, lacewings, or syrphid fly larvae.
