Hospital ward with crowd of people STORYLINE: A roadside bomb in Baghdad's Ghazalia neighbourhood killed a US soldier on Sunday and wounded two others, the military said. A spokesman for Task Force Baghdad said the US convoy struck the bomb at 10:40 a.m. (0640 GMT) on Sunday. One of the wounded soldiers was treated and returned to duty. One hundred kilometres (62 miles) west of Baghdad in Ramadi, a rocket landed on a commercial market killing one person and injuring another. The impact of the rocket destroyed several shops. It's not known who launced the rocket. Also in Ramadi, US and Iraqi troops raided houses in the al-Bumfarij district apparently looking for insurgents and weapons. Eyewitnesses said that the troops damaged several cars and houses. Meanwhile, at least six mortar rounds landed on Dora power station in southern Baghdad on Sunday. Two policemen who were guards at the power station were injured, police sources said. The injured were taken to al-Yarmouk teaching hospital for treatment.
