Yankees Win Playoff Opener Over Twins, 7-2
The Yankees won the opener of their AL playoff series against Minnesota, 7-2, Wednesday night in New York. Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui homered, and CC Sabathia struck out eight in the win. Game two of the series is Friday. (Oct. 7)
