Let's Play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (BLIND) - Episode 34
ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: December 11th, 2025. We are the 33rd Expedition. Setting out to break the cycle of death brought upon us by the Paintress. It's our last year on this fractured world, so let's make a difference. Following what was laid out for us from those that came before. So it's no small detail by now that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 released to immense praise. Selling millions & currently being nominated for more awards than any other game in the history of The Game Awards. The game passed me by, but I kept in on my radar after learning that it takes many inspirations from games I hold dear. Notably Final Fantasy X. After most of 2025 is now behind us, the game was graciously gifted to my by a loyal viewer, and I am sure as Hell going to dip my toes into this perfectly functioning and not at all dangerous world. I'm going into this almost completely without expectations. I know so little of what this game is suppose to be about that I'm not entirely sure I've ever fully seen a trailer or heard people talk about it in detail. At most, I know of certain FFX influences & the hybrid combat system. This was the only caution flag for me personally, after FFVII drew me in and was great in many ways, it was that game's combat system that I struggled to enjoy the longer I played. Let's hope Clair Obscur strikes successfully on that front. For this Let's Play, as I'm playing it for the first time, I'll be taking my time. While I'd love to reach 100% completion, there's no guarantee I will for my first playthrough. Although I will try my best. Do I even need to say it? A record breaking narratively driven RPG as a Tigerfrost Let's Play? Do I really even need to say it at this point?
