Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle World 1 Level 1 walkthrough - Learning the basics

Get set for the madness to begin, because somehow, someway, Nintendo and Ubisoft has joined forces to gene splice the worlds of Super Mario and the raving crazy Rabbids in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Here’s the start of our walkthrough of the Nintendo Switch game, giving you a quick rundown of World 1 Level 1, which gives you the bare basics on the battle mechanism in the game and the general principles about switches throughout the kingdom. While World 1 will take you a couple of hours or so to make it through with all of the cinematics to watch, Level 1 is pretty easy, so shouldn’t take more than 12-minutes or so. There are just two battles to win with the first against two Rabbids (one in the open and one in partial cover), and the second against two more Rabbids, both of which are behind full cover. You’ll need to get to grips with the idea of flanking the opposition in the second battle, which will help you out throughout the rest of the game. It’s also a good idea to familiarize yourself with the distance you can move in each go and the cover mechanism for your own team, which at this stage will consist of Mario, Beep-O, Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Peach. You’ll get your first weapons during the basic rounds in World 1 Level 1, but there are also plenty of items to picks up. You won’t be able to do anything with them at this stage, but all will be revealed in the not too distant future.
