Tailwater euro nymphing

Me and Ben hit up a tailwater that we haven’t fished since august. It was definitely a challenge going back to the larger river after fishing a lot of smaller creeks and rivers for the past few months. This river in particular has a history of having some of the most technical fish in the southeast, they are super picky on flies and tippet. But when they eat it’s so quick, it’s rewarding when you do get one of these fish to eat. We managed to pick up several wild rainbows along the way, incredible scenery on the river with all the fall colors. Gear used in this video are Thomas and Thomas rods, Ross reels, bigT braid core nymphing line, as well as hanak and trout hunter tippet.
