Rohit Sharma has been one of the finest batsmen in ODI and T20 Internationals. In the past few years, Rohit has achieved almost every possible milestone and still continues to scale greater heights in his tenure as an opening batsman. Now he is ready to break Records of Test Cricket because he has shown his class against South Africa in Test Cricket as well with 2 Centuries in his first Test Match as an Opener. Most #Sixes in an innings of Test Cricket #RohitSharma is known for his six-hitting ability in the ODI and T20I Cricket formats. He owns the record for most sixes in T20Is (10 Sixes) and in ODI he smashed maximum by Indian Cricketer (16 Sixes) as well. Now Rohit Sharma can also claim this record in the longest format of Cricket. Currently, Navjot Singh Sidhu owns the record for most sixes in an innings by an Indian in Test cricket. He smashed 8 sixes in his 124-run knock against Sri Lanka at Lucknow. Rohit also came to close to equaling this record in his first innings as an opener as he hit six sixes in the first innings of a Test Match Playing between India and South Africa, and followed it up with seven sixes in the second innings. Fastest test centuries by an Indian Cricketer/Players: Kapil Dev, the former Indian skipper is number 1 on this list. He still holds the record for the fastest test #century made by an Indian batsman. This marvellous knock came in the 1986-87 Test series against Sri Lanka. Kapil smashed the ball to all parts of the ground and brought up his hundred in just 74 balls. Former Indian Captain Mohammad Azharudin also smashed fastest test century in just 74 balls against South Africa. Opener Rohit Sharma who has fastest T20 Century (35 balls) Record can also break this Test Cricket Record. Virender Sehwag's record of highest individual Test score by an Indian (319 vs South Africa in Year 2008): When Virender Sehwag scored 309 against Pakistan in 2004 in Multan he became the first Indian to score a triple century in Test matches. He went past Laxman's 281 which VVS Laxman scored against Australia at the Eden Gardens in 2000-01. Sehwag then bettered his highest score by scoring yet another triple century, racking up 319 against South Africa at Chennai in 2008. This is the fastest triple century by any player when Sehwag got to the landmark in just 278 balls. Karun Nair scored 303* in 2016 against England in Chennai, and became the second Indian after Sehwag to score a triple century. He could have surpassed Sehwag's record but India declared after he reached the milestone. Other than Karun Nair, no other player has gotten to Sehwag's 319 in recent times. But now Rohit Sharma can score triple century in Test Cricket, his fans are expecting 300 runs from him after he smashed two centuries in same test match against South Africa in 2019.
