Rio 2016: US swimmers could face charges after alleged Rio attack

Two top US Olympic swimmers Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger face new questioning by Brazilian police after being removed from a US-bound plane. They were detained over allegations that they may have fabricated a report of an armed mugging. They said they were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday by someone claiming to be a policeman. But Rio police said that the athletes had stopped at the gas station in a taxi to use the bathroom. Police have since expressed doubts over the veracity of the report, and the swimmers could face charges of filing a false claim.
