Ivor Moreton and Dave Kaye were English duo pianists who had a series of best selling records under the title 'Tin Pan Alley Medley'. They had a standard format of usually three popular tunes of the day linked together in medley form. Their Parlophone 78s were consistent best sellers from the late 1930s well into the 1950s. The pair also made a successful tour of Australia and their appeal to their fans never faltered. It was usually Dave Kaye who played the melody and Ivor Moreton played those fancy runs up and down the keyboard. This is Tin Pan Alley Medley No.11 (A.7396) issued in 1942. Part 1. 'I Hear A Dream','Sunrise Serenade','Where Or When'. Part 2. 'It's A Hap-Hap-Happy Day','I'm In Love','The Lady Is A Tramp'.
