"Trade, security and neoliberal politics: whither Arab reform? The case of North Africa" is a AulaMed lecture by Sami Zemni, coordinator of the Middle East And North Africa Research Group at the University of Ghent (Belgium). On the framework of the inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània, which aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean with as wide and interdisciplinary a perspective as possible. Started in 2015, it is the result of the collaboration between the IEMed and the academic world. The 28 sessions of the lectures for 2017-2018 in the programme are characterised by the diversity of subjects and voices, as well as the importance of the events experienced by the region that are of interest not only to the academic world and experts but also the general public. The event is introduced by Rachid Aarab, researcher at the Department of Public Law and Historical and Legal Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
