Corbyn on Brexit, UKIP leader picks seat

(29 Apr 2017) UK's Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn addressed his supporters in east London on Saturday as the general election campaigning continued. In his speech Corbyn said that the ruling Conservative party was "desperate" to make the upcoming election "all about Brexit" as it seeks to divert voters' attention from taking note of the party's performance since it came to power seven years ago. Meanwhile in Hartlepool, far-right UKIP's party leader Paul Nuttall confirmed he will stand as a candidate in Boston and Skegness. As Nuttall was campaigning in the northeastern English town, a scuffle between two women - a UKIP supporter and opponent - broke out with both women fighting on the ground.
