After a few visits to Cad West on the Mach Loop, a first trip to another location on the low fly circuit in Wales, this time to the hill named Bluebell on Thursday with ZM Aviation / zm_aviation , to see whether we’d get lucky with any aircraft working low level. The day started with a thick mist which quickly burned off to reveal the Hardline Red Bull Mountain biking descent and start line, and some breathtaking landscape scenery visible from this spot. Sometime later a slightly odd ball aircraft kicks off proceedings with Vans RV-7A G-RVEM conducting 1 pass, followed by two more familiar military low flyers, separate Brize Norton based Airbus Atlas A400s ZM416 JIGSAW96 and ZM405 DREAD45 each conducting 1 pass. A Fini Flight of Lakenheath F15s brought the noise shortly after 14:00 with x2 passes through the loop, formed of: LN AF97220 LN AF91605 LNAF012002 LN AF91310 Local RAF Hawks ZK030 and ZK023 made a quick pass, but a slight disadvantage with Bluebell is there is no notice and their on you before you know it, so these sadly slipped through unfilmed, however @zm_aviation was on the ball and kindly shared his shots of these he managed to get as they flew through! The RAF more than made up for it, delivering a three asset triple strike package to UK LFS LFA7 TML as CHAOS flight of x3 Typhoons ZK383, ZK373 and ZK439 gave it the bollocks roaring through in close formation with x2 incredible passes to close out a brilliant day with great company on the hills!
