SavourLife Buddy's Grant

In 2023, we applied for the Buddies grant from SavourLife, a wonderful organisation dedicated to supporting rescue groups across Australia by providing grants, resources, and raising awareness for pets in need. SavourLife’s efforts have made a meaningful difference to countless animals, enabling shelters and rescue groups to continue their life-saving work and improve the welfare of dogs across the country. Following recent state legislation changes in Victoria, our local council required us to install a dedicated septic system for our kennel facility and undertake a much-needed overhaul of our kennels to comply with the new code. We were incredibly fortunate to receive a $50,000 grant from SavourLife, which allowed us to complete these upgrades throughout 2024. In such challenging times, with donations significantly down, this grant ensured we could continue focusing our limited resources on the animals in our care rather than pausing operations due to unforeseen costs. We are truly grateful to SavourLife for making this possible and helping us keep our doors open to animals in need.
