In episode #15 of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Sam and Nathan Drake explore the lost city of Libertalia, killing many mercenaries on their way. After the enemies bomb some buildings, the duo eventually finds Rafe and Nadine, where a shocking turn of events happens. Rafe reveals that Hector Alcázar never released Sam from prison; it was Rafe himself who did, making Sam a hostage. As a result, Sam lied to Nate about Rafe, and in the ensuing conflict, the brothers get shot, with Nate falling into the water. In the end, Elena saves Nate, and the game puts us in a flashback to the orphanage.
