TEAM EXTREME 1800+HP 7 SEC DRAG SUPRA HITS WALL

I filmed Gary Gooding in the Team Extreme Toyota Supra at the Doorslammers event this year. The car has had a few changes over the years. It used to run on E85, nitrous and road tyres, and was fully street legal, with a PB of 7.52 @ 185mph. It is now a dedicated track car running on methanol fuel. Gary won the Doorslammers 6cyl class with a time of 7.95 @ 170mph. However a few months later at the Jap Show, after a night of rain, it looks like water got into the chassis area somewhere, and on launch, dropped onto one or both of the tyres, which made the car go hard right and into the wall. The Santa Pod Safety crew were on the scene quickly, and Gary was able to get out of the car on his own, and is ok. The car will be back stronger and better.
