ATB-Cancel to build up the Chain %, Para-Cancel to make Ultimate Arrow (Serah's Limit) ignore defense to kill it. There no reason to aim to break the Gigantuar when you can do the Para-ATB cancel style (which I taught in a video tutorial when FF13 JP version was out). Note you can get their limit easy in this game. Just learn ALL of Serah's Blaster (RAV) skills and she'll learn "Ultimate Arrow" while Noel needs to learn all his Attacker (COM) skills.
