Red’s Manga Team vs Giovanni (Game Corner) | Pokemon Red

Battling Giovanni for the 1st time in the Celadon Game Corner Basement The team has gone through some more improvements/evolutions once again with 1 to come soon Poliwhirl has evolved into Poliwrath, & Pikachu has evolved into Raichu (Red doesn't have 1 but I like it more over Pikachu) After battling the other grunts along the way, Ivysaur is now on the precipice to evolve & wanted it to Solo Giovanni & commemorate it with its new evolutions into Venusaur Giovanni here has an interesting team with 2 ground types in Onix & Rhyhorn, with a Kangaskhan for some reason I think the implication is that Giovanni has ownership of the Safari Zone & thus caught one of the most powerful & rare Pokemon available there I think Tauros would be fitting, but I think it would be too strong for him to use at this point Then again its interesting that Team Rocket KO's a Marowak in the story & Giovanni also has a Kangaskhan; coincidence or connection maybe? Giovanni uses a Beedrill in the Pokespe Manga which is actually his ace, as he caught & raised it in the Viridian Forest Ivysaur has been a really solid Pokemon so far & for it to solo Giovanni with ease here is the Perfect send-off from Ivysaur to Venusaur It just seems fitting to evolve here like Red's Charizard did in Pokemon Origins (in Silph Co.) Now we have the Silph Scope & are one step closer to getting our last team member!
