Artists Jeff Donaldson, Wadsworth Jarrell, Lina Viktor and Alesia Etinoff work to reclaim the majestic powers of black hair and depict its spiritual essence, interrogating white hegemonic narratives created under the rule of law. Through their empowering depictions of black hair, they link black individuals to their cultural heritage and spirituality while dispersing ideologies founded upon Afrocentric beauty.
