Washington beefs up security ahead of Biden's Inauguration Day

WITH the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden less than a week away, officials are implementing unprecedented security measures amid warnings of possible attacks by groups involved in the January 6 pro-Trump siege of the Capitol. Security enhancements include road closures and the deployment of 20,000 National Guards. The perimeter of a high fence surrounding the Capitol was pushed out to encompass the U.S. Supreme Court and the Library of Congress.
