FINAL FANTASY V Learning- Genius (GOLD) Learned all kinds of blue magic techniques. #PlayStationTrophy There's a total of 30 Blue Magic spells scattered across the game, and they can only be learned by Blue Mages - specifically, Blue Mages using Learn just before being struck by an enemy using a given Blue Magic spell, which will allow all Blue Mages to use that spell from there on out (as long as the party proceeds to win that battle, rather than fleeing or being defeated). Now, technically speaking, none of these spells can be missed outright in the same way Bestiary entries and treasure chests can, as there are enemies and bosses who use every single one of them in the merged world at the end of the game; however, for the vast majority of them, the earlier/earliest opportunity to acquire them is by far the best time to do so, both so you can make use of them in as many battles as possible (some of them are among the most powerful and useful spells in the game) and because many of the enemies and bosses who would act as your last chance to acquire a given spell are so ridiculously powerful that you'd have a substantially hard time surviving that spell's usage and their other attacks long enough to fight back and win...on top of not being able to guarantee that they'll even use the spell you want due to Control immunity (for example: Azulmagia uses 17 of the 30 Blue Magic spells in his boss fight - and it's extremely dangerous to stick around long enough to try and learn any of them because most can just kill the party outright).
