Grim homicide milestone reached after 3 weekend shootings in Indianapolis

With three deadly shootings over the weekend, Indianapolis has surpassed the number of criminal homicides of last year. Looking back, Indy saw a drop in homicides in 2019 when there were 172. The number of homicides has climbed since then - 245 in 2020 and, as of 2 p.m. Wednesday, 244 homicide investigations this year.
