If you are a Gmail user, there is a way to import contact details from paper business cards into Google Contacts without typing. ABBYY Business Card Reader, which goes together with ABBYY FineReader 11 CE, can scan several business cards at once, locate each card, capture contact details and export them into vCard files. Google Contacts, in its turn, can import contacts from vCards.
