Lion MEC was the Event Management Partner of The Flip Flop Media Awards in 2016 celebrating both The Terminal Operator Excellence Awards and The Future Cities Awards that were joined together. The Terminal Operator Excellence Awards has been created to recognize and celebrate the operational and technical excellence among the crème de la creme in the industry. And “The Future Cities Awards” recognised those who are instrumental in building the Arab cities of the region, from Developers, Governments, Architects and Contractors. The evening was focused on those who are setting an example for the entire industry to follow and inspiring the next generation when it comes to planning our future, smart cities. The Awards night was graced by the presence of VIPs such as senior officials from Dewa, Emaar, Dubai Municipality, Saudi Ports, Abu Dhabi Ports, AUD (American University in Dubai), The National Engineering Bureau, Dubai Future Foundation and many more of such influential Individuals in their respective fields. All of them were flown in from across the globe. It was a night filled with energy, success and appreciation. One to be remembered in the coming years. The Founder of Lion MEC, Darine Hounaine, was also the Master of Ceremony.
