I can’t be silent when someone is nominated to the Supreme Court who would take our equal rights away.”The protest came just as Democratic senators were staging their own opposition to Kavanaugh. Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal was saying Democrats had been 'denied the documents we need' after the release of 42,000 documents from Kavanaugh's time in the Bush White House just hours before the hearing began.
