Registration gives a refugee a legal identity. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, joins hands with the Nigerian refugee authority to register them. We check birth certificates and other documents to verify their origin. Registration staff captures unique biometric data to identify individuals. All information is double-checked before the refugee ID card is printed.
