Santa and his elves are back! After another successful year, the Santa Bus has returned for another year. Back in 2020, Christmas just wasn’t the same due to the Coronavirus Pandemic which meant events, parties, and Christmas activities were cancelled. To lift everyone’s spirits and to put smiles back on people’s faces Go North East created their own Santa Bus which has been running every year since. This year the Santa Bus returned and toured the North East for 5 days leading up to Christmas. Like every other bus company and other industries Go North East have been struggling to attract new drivers to join their team over the past year which has had quite an impact on their services. To resolve this, Go North East are currently undergoing a massive recruitment campaign to attract new drivers which so far is successfully working. To help with this, the Santa Bus design got updated to fit with this campaign by promoting Go North East’s latest pay offer “£12.83 per hour”. As well as the updated design, This year saw a change to the tour to make it a little bit different from previous years. The idea was to have Santa travel to different places each day to ‘deliver presents’ but on his way, he would drive by the local areas. Monday he went to Lapland, Tuesday North Pole, Wednesday Santa’s Grotto, Thursday Reindeerland, and Friday The Elf Workshop. Each place was displayed on the front of the bus and also on their website where you could also track the bus in real-time. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
