This is the third year of the “We’re Cool” Heat Relief Outreach campaign. The aim is to increase awareness about public cooling refuges and hydration stations, especially among low-income transit users, homeless and transient populations, and other vulnerable groups. The kick-off event is an outreach collaborative effort, the city of Phoenix will present a unified face for heat relief. Volunteers will hand out maps of City cooling refuges and bottles of water. Through the summer months, the map of all the citywide hydration and cooling stations will be available at transit locations, libraries and other city locations.
