BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Episode 1 Walkthrough Part 1: High Street (INTRO)

Welcome back to my channel, dear gamers. With the main game of BioShock Infinite finished on the channel, the time has come to bid BioShock series one final farewell on this channel with third and last return to the underwater city of Rapture in BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea expansions which will serve as both the integral parts of the walkthrough of BioShock Infinite and, very likely final BioShock games recorded on this channel. Now, without further ado, sit back, relax and enjoy the gameplay of the first part of this two-part expansion. About Game: BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Episode 1 is 2013 First-Person Shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games, originally for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs. It is the first part of the two-part story expansion of BioShock Infinite released in November 2013, six months after main BioShock Infinite. Despite originally being released as paid DLC, this expansion, along with its second part released in March 2014, was included with complete edition of BioShock Infinite and BioShock Collection released in 2016 free of charge. Upon release, Burial At Sea Episode 1 received mixed reviews as critics praised its atmosphere and gameplay while also deriding its short length and focus on fan service. Despite not being instrumental part of the main BioShock series, Burial At Sea is significant part of the series' history as it serves as a bridge between first two BioShock games and main BioShock Infinite and is de facto the final game of the entire series since outside of unconfirmed leaks and rumors, no official announcement for fourth BioShock game has been made as of March 2024. Story of the game is set on December 31st, 1958 within Rapture, an underwater city built deep underneath the Atlantic Ocean and follows Booker DeWitt, private investigator whose office is visited by a mysterious young woman named Elizabeth. She enlists Booker's help with tracking down a little girl named Sally with Booker initially attempting to refuse her, believing the girl to be dead as he had been her caretaker and guardian shortly before she vanished. However, curious about Elizabeth's connection to Sally and urged forward by the small possibility that she may actually be alive, Booker joins her as she proceeds through the lively, elegant streets of central Rapture with Elizabeth bringing him to an nightclub owned by Sander Cohen, one of Rapture's most prolific and popular artists, claiming that Cohen will know something about Sally's whereabouts and revealing to know that Booker took care of Sally before she disappeared and that she was taken away from Booker while he was gambling at one of Rapture's numerous casinos. However, as they attempt to enter the club, Booker and Elizabeth discover that Cohen has organized a private New Year's celebration that is only open to those who received a special mask. Noticing that the party is sponsored by three nearby stores, Booker and Elizabeth decide to search them, hoping to acquire the mask there. To that end, they proceed to operate by the principle of Elizabeth using her charm and supposed naivete to distract the shop owners while Booker sneaks into the shops' backrooms in order to search for the mask. After eventually securing it within one of the art galleries sponsoring Cohen's party, Booker and Elizabeth return to the club and enter it, witnessing that the party within consists of Cohen attempting to "inspire his muse" by painting a couple dancing for him. However, after Cohen orders the dancers electrocuted for supposedly "mocking his muse", Booker approaches him and tries to interrogate him about Sally, discovering that Cohen is indeed aware of her and the fate of other girls who recently went missing within the city as he is personally involved in trafficking kidnapped girls to the interested parties for financial gain. Knowing that Booker and Elizabeth have no other means of finding Sally, Cohen offers to take them to her last known location if they accept to dance for him instead of recently electrocuted dancers. With no other way to continue with their mission, Booker and Elizabeth decide to play along with Cohen's demand, only to quickly end up electrocuted into unconsciousness as well. Later, Booker wakes up within a bathysphere along with Elizabeth, discovering that despite Cohen having electrocuted them, he still held up his part of the deal as the bathysphere they were deposited into has been programmed to go into Fontaine's Department Store, a large mall owned by Frank Fontaine, businessman who was recently murdered for conspiring against Rapture's leadership. With the store being sunk to the bottom outskirts of Rapture and ADAM-addicted Splicers who worked for Fontaine prior to his death being trapped within, Booker and Elizabeth find themselves forced on defensive as they set out to find Sally within the store's housewares department...
