The chaos and violence in Mamelodi has prompted a high-level government intervention. Operation Fiela will be rolled out in the township to help restore order and ensure commuters' safety. Taxi Drivers embarked on a violent protest against new bus operator, AutoPax. Earlier today, a bus driver and four passengers were shot during an attack on a PUTCO bus, whilst another bus was pelted with stones.
