Is using a time machine to change a mistake itself a mistake?

In this project, “Is using a time machine to change a mistake itself a mistake?”, I explored a theme frequently found in science fiction. I often imagine having the power to overcome time barriers and use a time machine to undo my past mistakes. Whether reviewing is better for my exams, preventing a quarrel with friends, or even changing the world. Yet, as many science fiction films and novels suggest, protagonists who attempt to rewrite their fate with a time machine often create more chaos and damage to their lives. Engaging with the paradox, my work questions whether the act of correcting mistakes through time travel produces new ones. To visually express this paradox, I used acrylic paint to create a supernatural atmosphere through the use of contrasting colors, such as purple and yellow. I also used colored pencils to render the three human figures with delicate details of textures. Recurring motifs reinforce this theme: a large clock, symbolizing time; butterflies, symbolizing the butterfly effect of time travel; fragmented architectures from different regions and eras, symbolizing spatial shifts; and figures on the clock aging from youth to adulthood to old age, tracing the passage of time and life.
