We go up to Jerusalem) is a church cantata, first performed on February 27, 1729 in Leipzig for Quinquagesima Sunday (the Sunday before Ash Wednesday). The manuscript I used for this video is by two copyists, Christian Friedrich Penzel (movements I, II, III, V) and Franz Hauser (movement IV). There is also a complete set of parts copied by Penzel which contain some extra material and some differences compared to this score which are reflected in the recording.
