In this segment Cortez talks about N.O.M.E 5 Hollow Da Don vs Charlie Clips, how he became a controversial figure in one of the biggest battles ever. Cortez says Hollow Da Don beat Clips 2-1, he clearly won the first and the second rounds. Regarding the crazy second round, Cortez says Clips told him he didn't have a prepared second round so he had to improvise, that's how Cortez and Chamberz name's came into the 2nd round. You're Charlie Clips these fans buying tickets like bro (Charlie Clips) come with three full rounds. Nobody is denying people want to see Clips, but bro just come with three full rounds. Hollow definitely got that battle, but coming after me and Chamberz was corny Cortez says. He's talking about shi* that happened six years ago when we were still in grind time. I have been on the bottom homeless sleeping in my car taking care of my son and I thought it was kind of distasteful. I spoke to Charlie Clips about it after and I was very upset about it, but at the same time I have to rap too. Charlie Clips is still my friend I just think he was corny for that, that's not real nigh* shi* Cortez says. Cortez says when you look around a lot of people didn't like that second round. I would say 80 to 90 percent of people didn't like it because it wasn't real nigg* shi* I don't feel like I've been cocky at all. I feel like I have been mad humble killing nigg* putting it out there and letting the fans decide. I feel like maybe I have to turn up, I feel like somebody got to get slapped sometimes. I feel like wilding on dudes like back in the day when there would be 30 Puerto Ricans coming to an event and smack would be like yooo Cortez come on. That's just how I'm feeling, I'm feeling like nigg* is playing and you can't play with my bread, don't play with my chicken, this is how I feed my family Cortez says. Do you dudes want me to go back to the old Cortez? It will get nasty for a lot of nigg* cortez states. I don’t want to do that, I just want to rap. Cortez says there are two worlds in this battle rap shi*. You got the battle world, then you got the music/underground world. Me (Cortez) I'm one of the few battle rappers that can balance both worlds. I put out tapes, I do features and shows as much as I battle. As far as D Chamberz go. D Chamberz is very well known on the music side. He out grinds everybody. He never said he was the best rapper, but he will outwork you and he will get the plug before you do. You can't knock that man's hustle, he gets shit done and has worked with plenty of big name artist. How many trash rappers that are signed? You're telling me you're going after a man that can spit and puts in the work and you are dissing him? It was more or less Clips had nothing the second round see me and Chamberz in the crowd and decided to use us in the freestyle. Clips saw the L.O.M shirts and probably got tight.
